Voluntary
Pre-Kindergarten

Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten (VPK) is a free program for children who are four years old on or before September 1st.  Participating in VPK gives parents an opportunity to help their children reach their full potential. High quality pre-k increases a child's chances of succeeding in school and earning more as adults.
Parents want the best for their children — good grades, college and career. It all starts with a strong foundation of learning. Your child’s brain goes through the most important growth and development by age 5. Children who attend high-quality preschool do much better when they get to kindergarten. It can make a huge difference in their success throughout life.

That’s why it is important that your child attend the Voluntary Prekindergarten Program. VPK is free of charge to all 4-year-old children regardless of family income. It builds a strong academic structure. VPK uses educational materials for specific stages of your child’s development. It will prepare them for school.

Enroll your child in VPK to prepare them for success in kindergarten and beyond.
